Has anybody else seen this? It's crazy! 

I'm probably the most unlikely viewer, but I probably will try to watch this week!

Now, for those of you who don't  know me, let me start by saying that I'm something of a feminist.  Exploitation of women is a big NO in my world view.

But tonight hub and I were  channel surfing and landed on MTV2 ... and stumbled on a preview of  Lingerie Football League, which apparently plays on MTV2 every Friday. 

My first split-second reaction,  seeing all these exceptionally beautiful girls dressed in gratuitously  skimpy metallic boy-shorts, and bikini tops under their shoulder pads?  Ick.

But ... if you do know me at all, you know I'm a football freak. I love the sport on all levels — high school, college and pro — and can watch it the entire day.

So after a few minutes of  watching this Lingerie Football League business, I realize that even  though the network has dressed these girls in ridiculously skimpy and stupid  costumes ... many of the players are still serious contenders, serious  about this sport — and good at it. These are strong, athletic women; no toothpick-y fashion models need apply. They are competitive, they  play tough, they hit hard (yes, this is full-on TACKLE football, and  they don't hold back!), they run like heck (no "girly running") ... and  these women seem in it to win it.

Fascinating.

Of course, what we saw was just a  preview, so I don't know if a full game would leave the same impression  on me. But being a sports fan, I definitely intend to investigate!
